We are both the species that caused the climate crisis and we are uniquely positioned to respond to avert its worst consequences. The future of life on our planet is in our hands, and the way our current generation reacts will determine the nature of life following this 6th mass extinction event. The challenge
Work has been done to quantify and qualify the nature of the collapses experienced across natural habitats and in local communities, yet much work remains to inspire credible action on the scale we need it, informed by evidence - from the latest peer-reviewed science to the wisdom of indigenous knowledge.
For instance, Earth Decides member Professor Tim Lenton's latest report Global Tipping Points provides an assessment of the risks and opportunities of both negative and positive tipping points in the Earth system and society.

Our community runs workstreams annually to support better decision making. We focus on how to communicate evidence in ways they can be well understood. We foster response pathways that harness our collective potential.
